Second Winning EU Project 'PROMOTE'

We are excited to share the news that Gairmeach Training is part of yet another successful consortium for a European Union project! Our second project, PROMOTE, is led by Stiftelsen Kursverksamheten vid UAUniversitet in Sweden, and focuses on enhancing career opportunities for some of Europe’s most skilled yet vulnerable women.

About the PROMOTE Project

PROMOTE is a pioneering initiative aimed at supporting highly skilled migrant women, including those displaced by the conflict in Ukraine, in overcoming career integration challenges. The project seeks to unlock the full potential and talent of these women, facilitating their meaningful integration into the European labour market. By 2026, PROMOTE aims to upskill over 50 vocational education and training (VET) educators and more than 75 highly skilled Ukrainian and migrant women, thereby contributing to a more inclusive and dynamic workforce across Europe.

Key Project Activities

As part of the PROMOTE project, Gairmeach Training, along with our consortium partners, will be engaged in several crucial activities:

• Identifying Skills and Labour Market Gaps: We will document the skills and labour market needs of over 75 highly skilled migrant women across the partner regions. This vital step ensures that the training and support provided are tailored to the specific challenges and opportunities these women face.
• Developing and Implementing CVET Skills Enhancement Programmes: The project will focus on creating targeted training programmes to enhance the skills of highly skilled migrant women. These programmes will include mentorship initiatives, work-based learning (WBL) opportunities, and job placement schemes in Sweden, Ireland, Spain, Germany, and Poland.
• Engagement with Employers: A key aspect of the project involves working closely with employers to connect them with this untapped reservoir of talent. By facilitating these connections, PROMOTE not only supports the women involved but also helps address the skills shortages that many European employers are currently facing.
• Communication and Evaluation: Throughout the project, we will be actively involved in communication efforts to raise awareness and share insights, as well as in evaluating the impact of the project to ensure its success and sustainability.

Anticipated Outcomes

The PROMOTE project is expected to have a significant and lasting impact on the European labour market. By bridging the gap between the skills of highly skilled migrant women and the needs of employers, PROMOTE will help to address the talent shortages that many companies are experiencing.
